Avery Island, Louisiana - Moso Grove Event Feb. 27- March 1, 2009

The LGCC Annual Avery Island Grove cleaning event will take place the weekend of Feb 27-Mar 1, 2009. This event is a members only activity, but a membership form is included in the links below for anyone who would like to become a member of the ABS-LGCC chapter which would enable them to attend this event. This event is the premier LGCC chapter activity and promises to be an exciting weekend. This moso grove was planted in the spring of 1910 - that means that the grove is 99 years old!

Message from the Louisiana Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Bamboo Society received Feb 8, 2009:

Quote:
Dear LGCC Members:

Finally the information and forms for registration to the Avery Island/Jefferson Island weekend are ready. The packet is being sent as both a "WORD" document as well as a pdf. The information is the same so take your choice as to which is the most convenient for you to use.

Again there is no registration fee; all that is required is that you have an active LGCC membership. Note that while the motel costs are slightly higher than last year, $5.00 per night, the total meal costs are down $5.00 so we are trying to keep the weekend costs reasonable.

Sorry to be so late, but we hope this event will fit into your plans. It is an outstanding one not to be missed if possible.

Regards, Gerald Morris, LGCC Treasurer
