Hi
I was visiting last week, on my trip to San Diego Ralph Evans and his fantastic collection of bamboos in Bambooheadquarters and decided to go take a look at the Quail. To my surprise I came across two Situation as unusual;
The first was an announcement in the lobby (where there are some plants for sale) that would not be the sale of bamboo seedlings due to an outbreak of mealybugs.
The second was the immense Dendrocalamus giganteus fully flowered stems with several (mostly) dry and yellowish OBS>: According to Ralph Evans told me he would not die because they did not form seeds. Only inflorescence. But anyway, this was not the vision I had that gigantic specimen.
I wonder what solution would be using to contain this outbreak of mealybugs which is always a threat to any bambuzeiro.
