Thanks for posting the photos, Paul!

Aloha,
While participating in an INBAR workshop on the island of Hainan, China, we encountered numerous bamboo art and craft projects.
The government was sponsoring a 90 day program to assist minority groups on the island of Hainan, in an effort to assist these groups that dwell near or in the forest, and are dependent upon the forest for their income.
These groups have been severely impacted because of restrictions implemented by the government's reforestation program.
The crafts project targeted these people to add to their income by teaching them to add value to their harvested product.
The program has been a success and we were amazed at what they learned to produce in a short period of 90 days.
I do have some pictures that I will add.
It would be wonderful if in the future we could have these artisans come and teach us their craft skills.
They are a valuable resource of knowledge and information.
Paul
