One of my very first bamboo projects was replacing the paper part of a metal clothing hanger with bamboo! At the time, I thought this was a brilliant use for bamboo after moving into a house which had an abundance of bamboo. Some of the bamboo pieces just seemed to be the same diameter as the cardboard which bends and becomes pretty useless after a certain amount of use.
