Over the past 6 months I have spent weeks at a time on the web, been to Florida to shop and have on 2 occasions ordered real old fashioned rustic bamboo bedroom furniture and both times the supplier after making me wait for 3 months at a time either went bank rupt or had their order stopped at customs.
I am so frustrated. I need a source for a bed side table, dressers, and a wardrobe/armoire.

I also am trying to build some things, so I need split bamboo, and binding twine and a book on how to do it would be nice.
somebody PLEASE help me. (light colored/natural bamboo tiki style or rustic)

thanx

Aloha Sally,

I'll send you some images of some furniture and if you are on the east cost I can give you a contact for nice rattan furniture from Ghana, that is if you can use a container load.

HI Sally,
Well, you really don't seem to have had much luck in finding bamboo furniture.
Please have a look at my website, and if you like my stuff, perhaps we could design some pieces together for you.
I am in New Zealand, but freight shouldn't be a problem.
Carol Stangler's, The Craft and Art of bamboo is a good starting point, book wise. But there's nothing better than rolling your sleeves up and getting down to making something, anything, to get to grips with the material.
Cheers,
