Here's a fence made for a friend who came home late in the
day and found deer in the vegetable garden.
Garden Fence: Arches, then X's Crossed (http://www.bamboocraft.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=579)
This is how it was made:
Gather your bamboo poles and start building!
First, arches are made using tops of long poles, or full lengths of smaller poles, using two lengths that are twined around and locked into each other. These are stuck into the ground.
Then the Xs' are placed however you like them, using the arches as your guideline and bracing.
They can be locked onto the arch framework as you go, or use string.
( These Xs' locked in so well that I had'nt yet used any string for the fence. But I decided to tie the tops of the Xs' as I think it will be here for a while.)
It was getting dark, so I quickly tied some poles across the top.
PS It is not quite finished ...
