Here's a pic of the first stages of making a bamboo fence out of old Phyllostachys mostly aureosulcata/nuda poles.
A simple deer & good neighbor fence

Metal garden stakes hold the structure, and it's tied together with `recycled' plastic coated copper electrical wire, and polyester twine ( which does deteriorate in sun, but it's all we had.
As an enhancement, bamboo comes to the rescue!
...and when the need is to keep out the deer, create privacy, and to grow vertical gardens...
Bamboo becomes intensive!!!
Well, the vines are planted... the spectacle has begun!!
