This gizmo goes `clickety click,'
when shaken up and down.
When it is turned from side to side,
it makes a sound...I can't describe...
The armatures for this instrument was `grown to order'.
This method is stronger then any other.
Sliding Beads Rhythum Stick (http://www.bamboocraft.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=565) made from Phyllostachys sp.
Sliding Beads Rhythum Stick - Close-up (http://www.bamboocraft.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=566)
Phyllostachys species have 2 branches at each node.
They alternate on opposite sides at each node.
I have attached a string through a bamboo tube, connecting to the branch stubs.
I could still put one on the opposite side, but I'll probably leave it as it is and make other variations one of these days.
