I got this beautifully tuned 'plosive percussion bamboo instrument' from Stan Skov in 1996.

Stan calls this instrument a `Lebaphone' in honor of a friend.
I have also `heard' them called as `Paddlephones'.
This one is made from Phyllostachys rubromarginata.
The culms were heat cured with a propane torch while they were still in the green / drying stage.
Thanks Stan!
Hope to see you again soon!!!
