Hello!
New to forum and have always loved bamboo...I live in Austin, TX and planned on adding some bamboo to our backyard landscaping. A landscape company suggested putting 4, 5 gallon size plants (did not specify type) so as I await them locating this unidentified bamboo I realized I needed to do my own research. What type of bamboo should I be looking to purchase? My hope is that it would spread across our back fence fence (60ft), grow at least the height of the fence to provide some privacy, but not get deep (also will bamboo eventually take down the fence???). There are 4 spaces reserved right now for the bamboo (assuming we go with what was originally suggested), but please let me know what the plan should be. Also for the bamboo you suggest, what is a good price to pay for that type?
