Bamboo Tubular Springs, Bangles and Spiraling Things

Here's a picture (http://www.bamboocraft.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=523) of some items that I made from Phyllostachys sp., using a band saw to cut the spiral.
Some were sanded on the surface and edges using a 1 inch wide belt - sander.

Spiral Moso Vases and Bangles (http://www.bamboocraft.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=524) made from Phyllostachys pubescens, harvested from Avery Island Louisiana.
Caramelized coloration was produced through the heat tempering culm expanding procedure.
