When cutting small pieces of bamboo with a bandsaw, use a bamboo push stick for safety.

Also notice the insert made for the square hole around the blade for smoother cutting of small pieces.
With the insert that came with the bandsaw, there is a gap between the blade and insert that small pieces fall through.
I made this insert especially for when I'm cutting small items like, for instance, bamboo beads.
