This site has provided me with a great deal of helpful information to utilize the bamboo growing in my parents backyard (aside from the ideas my neighbors and I came up with, making poles for sparring matches, bows and arrows, and burning uncracked stalks in campfires - which results in loud POPs). So, I'm thankful for all of the input that everyone has contributed.
After extensive research across the internet, I've decided to work on splitting the bamboo for kite spars, and not only for the fun of kite making, but for my thesis in Printmaking. I don't have many photos yet, but more are coming :) there are also silly things I find online which I post there, so don't mind :B

It seems that this forum is not friendly with the links to my images, SO, I will note when I put kite images up.
