Im working on creating a bamboo farm, and I've moved a fair bit of bamboo from other sites. The big problem with Bamboo is its height and bulk when trying to move it a distance and move a lot of it. Does anyone have any experience with cutting the culms off and transplanting just large root masses? Im thinking root masses about 3-4' in diameter, machine dug.
It would be very efficient for transport, I could probably haul 4x as much.
Varieties im planning on digging soon are large amounts of P. bambusoides, and P.aureosulcata 'Spectabilis'.
