I have three of these planted in a row along a fence in my backyard. The first one i planted all but died after I planted it. It went into shock after I put it in the ground. The nursery suggested that I saturate it everyday for a month so I did that and it bounced back to life, looks great now. The other two I planted about a month ago (a month after I planted the first one). They are starting to show signs of the leaf tips turning brown, almost like the first one started out. They are getting plenty of water since planting and I am wondering if they are getting too much water. Any suggestions? I will post some photos in the next day or so. Thanks

Are you watering the other two plants more then you did with the one that went into shock? If you could pictures on that would help some.

Not watering them more than the other one. I had been watering it everyday but not saturating it at all. It has been raining quite a bit, as I am down in south florida, but I have not been watering them along with the rain water. I did notice that the other one is starting to brown at the tips also.
I attached some photos of the brandisii with the brown tips. One of the pics shows the initial brandisii after it went into shock. Thanks for your help.

Dear guitrman,
I wouldn't get to worry about the leaf tips turning brown because the plants seems very healthy to me. I think it comes form the transplant that's all. I think that is what happen with mine. Just keep in mind not to water them to much. Good luck with the bamboo!
If you want to check out pictures of my bamboo search,"My Bamboo".
