Hello,
I am co-ordinating a 'large' project with a group of children in Perth, Western Australia. Provisional title: 7000 Classrooms. It seeks to memorialise the loss of nearly 7000 classrooms in the recent earthquakes in China.
We will be creating a 'forest' of bamboo on the local beach this coming March using 7000 bamboo poles.
While the 'concept' is 'simple' we are at that stage of playing with different ideas. For example, can we turn it into a large musical instrument if we drill the bamboo (how would we do that?) etc etc
So, this first post is to request some creative contributions and ideas at this early stage.
We certainly have no direct experience with bamboo ...
