Hello,
I have made my first bansuri from bamboo out of a facillity store. The pitch is perfekt (for me) but the the wall seems to be too thick (app. 4 mm). Is there a possibility to wide up the diameter? Thought of using hot sand, but I am afraid that could spoil my flute. Any suggestions?
Heard that bamboo should be heatend to make it harder. Is this true for flutes, too? How great is the risk then?
Regards.
