I'm Looking for root end bamboo?

Hello, I'm looking for a supplier or someone that has root end bamboo for making Shakuhachi.
Anyone have any info?

PS:I tried Franks blanks but I would like to find Madaké, Moso or Tiger bamboo. Any one of these will do fine.

Finding root end bamboo for making Shakuhachi is a "tough one".

The good bamboo needs to be dug up and not everyone is willing to do that.

Are you in Northern or Southern California?

Have you tried contacting any of the members of the Southern California Chapter of the American Bamboo Society?

Shakuhachi Flute Blank

These 39 inch bamboo poles are sold with the root ball still attached which can be shaped and configured to suite the making of Shakuhachi flutes or for other interesting decorative effects. They are sold in natural colors of yellow or black. They are between 1 ¼” to 1 ½” diameters. They weight 2.5 lbs and can be easily shipped by parcel carriers such as UPS or thru the Post Office. These bamboo poles vary greatly from pole to pole. For custom orders and selections a $5.00 additional fee per pole is added. Please note that for custom orders, we are only able to select from what we have in stock, but will make every effort to get as close to your needs as possible
