I have a small metal shed that I want to cover with bamboo to make it look like a tiki hut by our pool. We cut a lot of bamboo growing behind a ladies house about 2 weeks ago. I am not sure the type of bamboo but there was probably an acre of it and none more than say 2-2.25 inches around. I just want to cover the building so it does not need to be structural the metal shed is already there. Should I wait till this stuff dries then split it and cover the building? Should I split it now then let it dry? Or, can I split it, cover the building with it? How long should this stuff take to dry? I took a piece and split it, then used the torch to dry it, left it in the car and it shrunk sooooo much. It actually curled back inside of itself.
I have read so much on this forum you guys definitley know your stuff!! Any help with a newbie to bamboo would be great.
