Preserving Green Color of Wood

Just saying hi to all and am happy to have found you. Have a small jungle that started as one or two shoots and now am trying to tame a bit and also to utilize the beautiful crop. Yesterday I tried to harvest some new growth and it was so tight I couldn't get through - bamboo jail!
Question- How best to preserve the green color once cut?

There has already been some discussion here regarding your question about preserving the green color of bamboo - unfortunately - there is no way to preserve the green color forever.

Just enjoy the green while it lasts and appreciate the bamboo as it "ages"....

Bamboo - like people, cannot always maintain a youthful vibrant life forever...

I guess it is just part of nature's cycles,
