From mid-Alabama :Several of my new shoots died about 2-4 feet in height, the tops ashen or white, and we noticed what looked like a worm hole( about the size of an M&M candy) just below the diseased top section. Many were spared but those with the hole died. Could not find a pest, beetle or worm, inside. What pest are we dealing with, and is there a solution??
