Hi everybody.
I'm interested in making a replica of a chinese cormorant fishing punt.
These appear to be made of 5 or 6 large diameter bamboo poles lashed together to form a punt-like platform.
My problem is that both ends of the punt are upturned.
How is this achieved?
I've watched the video of bamboo being heat bent but that was a small diameter pole. How are the large diameter (100-120mm) diameter poles bent?
