Hi Everyone,
I am a new member to the forum although I have been a lurker for a while in order to learn different aspects of working with bamboo. I am a stay at home dad and I make custom tabletop water fountains for extra cash. Most of my works have some sort of bamboo element in them.
I thought I would post one of my latest pieces called the 'Wishing Well'. I also put up a website detailing the creative process in making the 'Wishing Well' for a fountain building group. If you would like to view it the link is: http://www.eadesignsonline.com
I really am amazed at all the different things everyone here is doing with bamboo. I appreciate all the insight.
Thanks,
Eric

Eric, that is a beautiful arrangement, looks great! The plant in your picture I believe is Dracaena sanderiana, often marketed as Lucky Bamboo, water bamboo etc. It is a handsome bamboo-like plant but it actually is not a member of the bamboo family despite all of the retailers calling it bamboo. That does not diminish the beauty of your arrangement, a rose by any name...is a thing of beauty.

Sasa and Mystic,
Thank you for the kind words and insightful comments on the 'Wishing Well'. I'm almost finished with a fountain from another antique copper bowl from the 1930's that again will have a bamboo element in the design. I love seeing all the different things people are doing with bamboo and enjoy the pictures as well. I'll try to post the new fountain when its done, it's called the 'Blue Lagoon'.
Thanks Again,
Eric
