Can anyone tell me how to go about testing the moisture content in bamboo. From what I can find out so far I think you need a hydrometer. What I am trying to find out is do you grind up a piece of bamboo and test it with this instrument somehow? And what would be a level at which bamboo is considered dry. I think grains such as corn and soy beans are considered dry enough to store at anything less than 10% moisture. I would think that if corn doesn't mold at 10% then maybe bamboo wouldn't mold but I am not sure. I know you have to keep fans running in the Silo's to keep the grain from molding even if it's 10% moisture or less. If anyone has any opinions or knowledge in this area all comments are desired and welcomed. Thanks, Danny

You can easily measure the moisture content in bamboo with electronic moisture meter, which is readiliy available in market.
