well, in the tradition of several previous posters, I am researching the possiblity of building a bamboo bike prototype.
u intend to harvest the bamboo myself, heat treat it with a torch untill it turns brown, then soak it in petroleum for 48 hours, before setting it to dry in the sun for a couple months.
does this sound reasonable?
how did the other bamboo bikes turn out? how did folks solve the jig issue?
any photos?
