SITTING THE CUT BAMBOO IN BUCKETS OF BORAX

Another metod I am trying to verify is cutting the stalk of bamboo and sitting the cut stalk (while still in the grove) in a bucket of Borax Solution. This is suppose to draw the solution up into the stalk completely, thus curing the stalk while still in the grove. Has anyone tried this and if so how was the outcome. Thanks, Charlene
