Sun and humidity, care for outdoor bamboo furniture

Greetings from Guatemala

I have recently made a bamboo sunbed for my little house on the pacific coast and I was wondering if there's any tricks to keep it in good conditions for years. How can I protect it from the constant equatorial sun and the salty humidity that's always present on the beaches here. I'm sensing that the varnish will start peeling off after a while or the bamboo will eventually crack or get moldy from being outside all the time.
Is there any insightful tips you can tell me ?

for out door , dr bamboo recommends the use of light oil like hydrolic oil to minimize the oil smell just add some fabric scent to it brush it on once every other month
