I do not grow bamboo, nor have it ready to work with, so I'm hoping that someone here might be able to help me. I am a tremendous fan of Charlie Chaplin and often costume as him. Also a fan of detail, I've long sought the sort of bamboo cane that he used, which would bend like rubber. I've recently been told that this is Rhizome. Is this correct? What gives it it's flexibility? Is anyone here able to make one of these canes? Through my travels I've seen a couple but they are such antiques that bending them risks breaking them in the way that they have aged. Thank you all very much for your help!
