That's a cool collection, Clint.

Okay, guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and learn identification: I know one of my two is p. vivax, since I mail-ordered it bare-root from a nursery; I know the other is phyllostachys due to the alternating grooves...but despite all my books, I haven't taught myself identification yet, so the smaller variety remains a mystery (by "smaller" I mean grows no thicker that 1.5" dia., and no higher than about 25').

Take some pictures of the new shoots of your unidentified Phyllostachys and maybe some of the folks here could help to id it for you...
