Hey everyone, my grandfather has been growing bamboo in his backyard now for awhile and he uses it to build structures in his garden for his tomato plants. He cuts them down and starts building with them in early spring, but he's been having a lot of problems with them splitting over the season. We were wondering if there was a way we could preserve them to last longer. Of course, it has to be something nontoxic. Unfortunately, I don't know the species of bamboo he has, but are their any techniques that could help like special coatings or drying them out first?
Thanks everyone in advance, we really appreciate any and all help you could give us.
