I have a black bamboo plant that is covered in ants, I've tried stakes and they're not working, any suggestions?

Hi Henry,
The bamboo might have Noxious Bamboo Mealybug, and ants are attracted to the honeydew they secrete.

Another pest that secretes honeydew which attracts ants are aphids.
Is this a potted bamboo?
