Can anyone recommend me some kind of treatment against mold on Shakuhachi/bamboo flutes?

Thanks.

Dear,
Perhaps we can give you some suggestion.
If you use the bamboo to make the flute?
What kinds of bamboo do you use, and what do you do with the material before you make the flute?

kind regards
Shirley

Thanks for your reply Shirley and we'd like to hear of your recommendations.

Flutedude,
Does the mould problem occur during harvesting/drying the bamboo or after the flute is finished and played, caused by humid conditions?

Shirley, I am not a flute builder but just a performer.

Flutedude,
Does the mould problem occur during harvesting/drying the bamboo or after the flute is finished and played, caused by humid conditions?

Thanks for the replies. The problem has already been solved - I have used vinegar, and then some walnut oil mixed with cedar incense and a bit of lavender to get rid of the smell.
