29.April.2006 (Saturday): The Northern California Chapter's Annual Spring Bamboo Festival, Sale and Auction will be held at the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, 9th Ave. and Lincoln Way, next to the San Francisco Botanical Garden (formerly Strybing Arboretum). Hours: 10:00am - 1:00pm, with a rare bamboo auction at 12:30pm. Public invited. Free admission.
Special treat: the Gamelan music group Gamelan Sekar Java will perform three sets during the Festival!
