The New Zealand Bamboo Society AGM & Conference 2006
The annual conference and AGM will be held in and around Wellington during the weekend of 25th-26th March 2006.
As the program is finalised, details will be updated.
Current planning includes
Visits to bamboo growing in Lower Hutt, Makara, Newtown Zoo
Visit to Wellington Botanic Gardens and giving advice on care of bamboos
Visits to Otari and the Karori Sanctuary
Exchanging information with the Wellington Chinese Association on a major Chinese Garden to be created on the waterfront as part of Scaffers Park redevelopment.
Saturday evening meal using fresh bamboo shoots
Saturday evening demonstration of Bamboo painting
AGM and plant auction at Jack & Jill Fenaughty's property at Makara on Sunday
