A couple days ago we harvested and tasted our first spring shoots of Phyllostachys elegans.
... mmmm Yummy!
I also dug up some pics of our 2005 First Crop' of shoots from our young 3rd year shooting P. elegans plant.
Pathways around the bamboo are covered with shredded locally recycled tree wood and bark mulch.
This has proven to be an ideal place to grow a crop of shooots!
