4 March 2006:US/AZ/Tucson/Spring Bamboo Meeting and Propagation Workday sponsored by the Tierra Seca Chapter of the American Bamboo Society.
10 am - 'until we finish'
Bamboo Ranch, Tucson, Arizona. Call 520-743-9879 or email (bambooranch@juno.com) for directions.
Tour the groves and help to divide bamboo plants for the Tierra Seca Chapter Fall Meeting and Plant Sale, which will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006. (location of the fall meeting to be announced at a later date). Bring gloves, a pruning saw and empty pots.

4 March 2006: US/SC/Anderson/Moso Grove Grooming
The Southeast Chapter (http://www.sec-bamboo.org)of the American Bamboo Society (http://www.americanbamboo.org) will groom the Moso grove at the Old Silverbrook Cemetary in Anderson, SC starting at 9 a.m. on Sat., Mar. 4, 2006. Gloves, loppers, saws and shovels are very helpful. Poles and plants are available to participants.
To get there from 1-85, get off at Exit 19 (Anderson-Clemson US 76-28), and head toward Anderson on Clemson Boulevard (changes to N. Main Street as you get into Anderson). About 7 miles after leaving the interstate, you'll pass through the town center and City Hall. Two blocks after passing City Hall, turn left onto E. River Street at a traffic light. At the fourth traffic light
on E. River Street, turn right onto White Street. Old Silverbrook Cemetery will be on the left after two blocks.
The moso grove is toward the back of the cemetery. If you want to see the moso at the Fant house (private property), keep going straight on River Street, the Fant house is on the left 1/4 mile past the White Street intersection.
