Hi LA/Anahein bamboo people!

This pics I got in Anahein at Disneyland Park, near the moving staircase, when we left the park through the shopping area.
They are bamboo not imitation!::)
These bamboos are found in many places around the park including into the Adventureland area (Indiana Jones). It is very green, near 2/3 inches diameter, near 15 meters hight. Are very strong and resistent.

I want to know the ID of this specie because I'm interested to know more about it and give name to my pics bamboo collection.

Hi Ene,
Great to hear that Disneyland has the real thing!

It looks very much like Bambusa oldhamii

Here's the link to Bambusa oldhamii (http://www.bamboocraft.net/bamboo/showgallery.php?cat=505) Gallery at BambooFlora

Here's some pics to compare of ...

Bambusa oldhamii - grown in Austin TX USA (2004)

#1 - Shape and color of shoot top / wide base of sheath blades
#2 - Sheath characteristic, color and texture of hairy bristles
#3 - Powdery coating near sheath attachment on some but not all new culms.
