Bamboo sheets have been used extensively on walls and ceilings in construction of a house and the pest is eating it away. Daily at least a pound of powder is being produced. How to identify and then to destroy this pest?

Hi Raja, I'm sorry to hear, but this may be Powder Post Beetle. (PPB)
This is a potentially serious and damaging bug, and we need to address this issue in more detail and search for suitable remedies.
I'm not aware of a Powder Post Beetle that only inhabits bamboo.
Even though it is sometimes called the Bamboo Powder Post Beetle apparently the same beetle can also inhabit other types of wood.
The first thing I would suggest is to determine the source of the problem.
Is it localized or in many different places.
I would check with the manufacturer or supplier of the bamboo sheets to see if they have had any problems and remedies.
Are these sheets machine compressed woven panels?
It may be best to remove a panel to get a good look at the extent of the problem.
Are there a lot of small pin-holes in the bamboo or channels?
If you can upload pictures of the damage this will be helpful to identify the insect.
