Bamboo Repellants - Info/tips to stop creatures from eating your bamboo

What creatures have been munching on your bamboo roots, shoots and leaves?
Some creatures that have been mentioned...
Squirrels, rabbits, pigs, goats cows, horses, kangaroos, wallabies, mice, voles...

Following are some links to information on deterring creatures from eating your bamboo (and other garden and agricultural plants)

The method you use may be very specific to your local conditions, type of plant, time of year, the creature and their population etc.

White tail deer can be a problem in some areas because they are browsers - they like to move around and munch on lots of different vegetation - have a digestive system capable of eating otherwise poisonous plants, and are territorial, - will often remain within a short distance (mile/kilometer?) of their birth.
