This was a kite (shown minus tail) that I made in 1979 of bamboo and silk and sold when I was artist in residence at the California State Fair.

Hi, I've seen your very nice photo of some "boats" build of bamboo, very simple and self-floating.

I'm interested in to find the bamboo I've seen there. It' very regular shaped and I find it would be interesting in evaluating it for modern boat buildings (sail).
As I'm not rich, it's even more interesting, as bamboo can grow free.:)
