Each year we have been converting some of the front lawn into garden beds, framed by a bamboo structure of sorts. It's now a pleasure to mow the green pathways using the push-mower. This is our only lawn left.
The green in the middle background is the edge of our nearly 2 acre grove of Phyllostachys aurea. You can't see much of the grove from the angle of this picture, because the land and grove drops abruptly into a ravine. The bamboo has stopped the hill from eroding away.
