Hello everybody, I been wanting to know what's the perfect way and dye I can use to color my bamboo beads. I do some bamboo jewelry ad would like to put some color on my beads. Can anybody help please.....Thanks. :)

Hi Tatty,
One thing you can do to add color to your beads - is to paint the edges.
It is time consuming - but well worth it.

I did not mean to change the topic from dyes to paint -
We may have to "split" this thread as these are 2 different issues.
I don't have any experience in using dyes on bamboo.

I use the Folk Art Acrylic Paint (comes in 2 oz containers) in a wide range of colors. It is water soluble, so you can clean up your brush easily. I usually just squeeze a little bit into a plastic lid and do a batch of beads. Here is a link to more info about Folk Art paints (http://www.plaidonline.com/apFA.asp)
