US/HI/Bamboo Basketry Workshop Feb 7-11, 2005
The Holualoa Foundation for the Arts and Culture at the Donkey Mill Art Center is sponsoring a Bamboo Basketry Workshop presented by Jiro Yonezawa on February 7-11, Monday thru Friday. The fee is $225 plus a supply fee. Species selection, harvesting, preparation and weaving will be covered in depth. For further information contact Setsuko at 808-324-1335.
On Friday, Feb. 4, from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm, Jiro and Randy Shiroma (a cement sculptor) will present a slide presentation which will be preceded by a potluck dinner. The public is invited to the slide presentation free of charge.
