Building with Guadua: Colombian Bambu Society Workshop 2003

In May of 2003 the Columbian Bamboo Society, Sociedad Colombiana del Bambu (http://www.guadua.org/) hosted a course on construction with bamboo that was taught by Marcelo Villegas and Simon Velez. The farmhouse that hosted the event, Vila Nora in Quimbaya is over 100 years old. The roofing substructure and most of the framing are built with Guadua Bamboo and plaster over esterilla (bamboo mat).The photos are sequenced and have written descriptions of the step by step process of building a Guadua Bamboo structure in Colombia and more.
